Thermal insulationDunlop Aquacoustic is a specialist hard flooring underlay that provides unsurpassed acoustic performance. Incorporating a 200-micron moisture-resistant barrier and cross-linked polyethylene foam, Aquacoustic offers superior moisture protection. This product includes an incorporated tape seal on the end of the rolls for increased water vapour resistance.
Best for:
To maintain your underlay, keep the carpet above it clean with regular vacuuming and prompt stain removal so spills don’t soak through. During major cleans or carpet replacement, inspect the underlay for wear, moisture damage, or compression, and when needed.
However, underlay may need earlier replacement if:
Higher-quality underlay can last longer, but in high-traffic areas (like hallways or living rooms), it tends to wear out faster.
