Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove grit and abrasive particles. We recommend a lightly damp or ‘well wrung out’ mop for larger spills — do not allow water to pool. Use only manufacturer-approved timber floor cleaners; avoid steam mops, harsh chemicals and excessive moisture. Protect furniture legs with felt pads and use door mats at entry points.

Subfloor must not exceed 3mm under a 1 lineal metre straight edge. GrandOak Noble features a 3mm wear layer — the real timber surface you walk on — which determines how many times the floor can be sanded and refinished. Suitable for heavy residential use, this 3mm wear layer supports at least one professional sand and refinish, though this is only applicable to direct stick installations. We do not recommend re-sanding floated floors.
